We get the impression that many of the pets of PAE have enjoyed having their owners at home more over the last few months.
With families spending more time at home and an increase in the number of people working from home, some pets have had more company than ever.
But, we have still had a steady number of pets reported as missing, or found wandering at large. One reason for this could be that while at home, owners don’t feel the need to secure gates or close doors as often as they would if they were leaving to go to work.
It’s a good idea to regularly check your perimeter fence for holes, and make sure you are vigilant about shutting and securing gates.
Our Community Safety Officers have continued to work hard to ensure that lost and wondering pets are reunited with their owners.
We have also recently had dog registrations due. Making sure your pet is microchipped and registered will help us to reunite your lost pet with you and avoid it being taken to a shelter.
If you are taking a short break during the September and October School holidays, the RSCPA cat boarding services are now back in operation at Windsor Gardens.
This facility boasts 35 deluxe boarding rooms plus a penthouse suite, for cats and small animals.
