Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual celebration of community, bringing together people next door, across the street and throughout the city.
Although Neighbour Day falls on the last Sunday in March each year, it encourages us to make connections that last all year round.
Neighbours matter (whether near, far or online) and now more than ever is the time to get and stay connected, while of course taking into account current public health advice.
You can discover our ‘Stories from our Neighbourhood Films’ on our website for inspiration on how local people are creating connections. Or you can organise a get together with your neighbours to mark Neighbour Day (we’ll provide a voucher to help cover the costs).
Or, come along to one of our Great Community Plant Swap events at the Heart of Semaphore Café on Tuesday 23 March or Wednesday 24 March Greenacres Library.
You can also win a prize for your neighbour by telling us in 300 words or less what you appreciate about them. Simply share your story about a great neighbour, a unique neighbourly act, or something you appreciate about the people in your neighbourhood.
