In 2021, Greenacres Library will temporarily close while it undergoes a makeover.
The updates will include a new floor plan and shelving and a modernised look and feel. New community spaces will be developed which include comfortable places for people to collaborate, learn and create.
The update will also mean more spots for people to sit and work on their own devices, or to simply sit and enjoy reading a book.
A second Toy Collection will also be available, allowing even more families across the city to access toys. We are on the lookout for volunteers who are keen to help maintain this new collection, or who can work with families to help them get the most benefit from these creative play and learning opportunities.
Grab & Go update
Grab and Go titles are now available for a 14 day loan period, with a maximum of two items per card.
