Paint Ya Pole
Earlier this year we invited residents to paint stobie poles on local streets. The Paint Ya Pole project helped neighbours connect, and created points of interest in PAE.
The Pear Café in Alberton created an Art Trail especially for this year’s SALA Festival in August, the permanent features of the trail can still be enjoyed. The central theme of the Art Trail is an exploration of ‘Home’ and the diversity of meanings, experiences and memories that ‘Home’ holds for the people in our neighbourhood. On a walk through the Alberton area, you will discover murals, painted stobie poles and installations.
As part of the Regency Road to Pym Street upgrade, we have supported the R2P Alliance to work with community to design and paint ten poles in Packard Avenue. We have collaborated with residents for design ideas and worked with local artist Tracey Davis from Phantasmagoria to bring them to life.
