Our City of PAE trainee program has grown in 2021 as we welcome 13 new young people who have joined us for the year to undertake this intensive on-the-job education..
For the first time, we have welcomed trainees to all areas of the organisation, from outside in the field doing horticulture and construction, to office-based project management, customer service, and administration.
This program provides ongoing training, development and networking opportunities for young people, enhancing their skills before they enter the job market. It is also a fantastic opportunity for our staff to gain mentoring and coaching experience through their supervision and support of the participants.
We are committed to building a city with opportunities for young people as they are our future. We are working with Maxima Group Australia and our PAE Team to provide better opportunities for young people to address youth unemployment, made worse by the pandemic.
