Members of the Regency Community Men’s Shed are back in action after a short closure due to COVID-19.
They have been building birdhouse boxes that will be set up in the Cudlee Creek area, to provide homes for birds in areas impacted by the fires over Summer.
Boxes are currently made in three designs, the largest for kookaburras, medium-sized boxes for crimson rosellas and the smallest boxes for pardalotes.
A design for boxes for microbats is also being developed. Men’s Shed members are also working on a project to design and create “Little Libraries” which will contain books that can be swapped, and these creations will be placed around the community.
The Regency Community Men’s Shed is located at the rear of the Enfield Community Centre, 540 Regency Road, Enfield. The Shed is currently open Monday to Thursday 9am-12 noon with a special women’s session Monday 1-3pm.
Low cost membership fees apply. For further information drop in during opening hours or contact: Norm Ogier on 0400 170 099
